Waking Night Support Worker

Salary: £15,220 - £15,512 per annum (£8.34ph - £8.50 ph)

As a Waking Night Support Worker for Autism Together;

• You will provide a safe and secure home environment for the service user
• Keep the home clean and tidy, attending to laundry duties
• Attending to the personal care of service users such as toileting
• Administering medication as and when required (full training provided)       
• Supporting service users through times when they are feeling anxious and may result in them displaying risk behaviours
• Recording the events of the night in the Night Book

We provide person-centred support to individuals with autism in their own home and ensure full access to leisure activities.

You will work as part of a team, but will also be able to use your own initiative.

Hours are 3 nights on, 3 nights off worked on a rota basis, including weekend work.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided.

Requirements of Support Worker:

Basic understanding of autism
Be able to work flexible hours and shift patterns
Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
Good oral and written communication skills
Basic IT skills
