Location: Various locations throughout the Wirral, NW Cheshire  (including: Bromborough, Bebington, Rock Ferry, Wallasey, Neston, Great Sutton, and Ellesmere Port.  On part 3 of the form (in 'Apply') tell us which locations you can work.

Salary: £11.10 (£11.15 if QCF/NVQ qualified)

Hours: Our core hours are 35 hrs p.w.  This can be increased to 40 hrs p.w. on our main sites.  We have a range of other opportunities to work fewer hours if you prefer.

Sleep ins: Some of our locations require staff to undertake sleep-in duties.  These are payable at £60 per night.

Overtime pay:  Overtime is available at an additional £1.20 per hour weekdays or £2.00 per hour weekends on top of your hourly rate of pay.

Rota: Typically over a 3 week rota and includes evening and weekend working.

 What will you be doing as a Support Worker:

  • Accompany the people we support to leisure and personal activities or appointments
  • Support people to attend work or day time activities - often in our own Day Services
  • Help to maintain good domestic standards within the service (house) – encouraging the people we support to participate in all domestic activities.
  • Help with personal care if required
  • Update paperwork, databases and other administration tasks as needed
  • Prepare meals with the people we support – ensuring they have a healthy and balanced diet.
  • Administer medication as and when required (full training provided)
  • Support people through times when they are feeling anxious and display risk behaviours
